I received an exciting e-mail from Rick, the Buyer for Draperies and Linens for Ballard Designs. Ballard's wants to put my French Inspired Pillows in their catalog. From my excitement came disappointment when he told me that it was for their Fall 2010 (yes, 2010) catalog. They shoot them that far ahead and they wanted a large stock to have in their warehouse by next summer. I realized that who knows where my business will be in a year and a half and that it really is not something that is realistic for my company. It was not easy to decline such a great opportunity, but after some time thinking about it, I realized it was the best decision for me to make. Still it was a very flattering offer. I love Ballard Designs.
