So last night we went to Circus Vargas. I don't know who they "thought" we were, but we had ringside tickets and they took us to the VIP area. Who are we to ask questions! They were the best seats.
This was the one and only Clown. He was incredible and really could have had a show all his own. His energy was amazing and he not only engaged the crowd, but involved us in everything, including a water gun fight between him and the Ringmaster while running through the audience (we got pretty wet, but it was a blast). He also embarrassed my Husband and many of the other men in the audience by including them in the show. It was GREAT!!!
My Daughter loved these sweet girls. They did a hula hoop act and becuase we went 15 minutes early (which I suggest any of you that go with your children do) they let all the kids go in to the ring and do all kinds of acts with the girls, (there are pictures at the bottom of the post)
These woman did incredible acrobatic acts as well as magic tricks and a multitude of beautiful acts throughout the two hour show.
My Daughter and the Ringmaster. He was wonderful!
These guys were my personal favorite. They were in a cage (which you will see in a picture at the bottom of the post) and first, one of them went in on his motorcycle, than another and than the third. It was the coolest thing. They turned off the lights so all you could see were the three headlights of their bikes and I couldn't believe they could do that without crashing in to eachother. It was amazing!!!
This is in the beginning of the show where they let all the kids go in. They showed my Daughter how to use the hula hoop around her arms and she had a blast. The pictures look a little blurry because when the show fist begins they have a smoke/lighting effect.
Here she is learning to juggle with handkerchiefs.
And balancing a peacock feather on her hand. I couldn't believe she actually could do this within the few minutes that they taught her.
And then on her nose...
And then her finger... Is she cool or what?
What I loved about this Circus is that it was 95% human tricks. They do not use elephants or tigers. The horses were in the act for about ten minutes and they had dogs and cats doing fun tricks. It was such a great experience and I had as much fun as my Daughter. We are planning on going again when they come back in December with a whole group of friends. I would recommend all of you going to see this show if it comes to your town. They keep you entertained the entire time and are so full of energy.
This is the motorcycle cage.
The acrobatic acts and aerialist on silks were beautiful and jaw-dropping. The energy from the performers carried through to the crowd and made it such a wonderful experience for all of us. This is a great memory that we will treasure.
This guy was unbelievable!!! He balanced on these like it was nothing (I sometimes trip just walking straight, let alone trying to balance on something)! For more information, you can visit Circus Vargas online at:
