~Some of my Favorite Things~

This Post is of some of my favorite things around my home. I LOVE photography and I especially love to take my pictures off-centered to capture the architectual details in furniture, accessories and art. At the bottom of this post I will have a link to all of the pictures of my Home, featuring every room in detail. I Hope you enjoy the pictures!

I love to collect Footed Silver pieces and petite Glass Perfume Bottles.

My antique French Vanity. The details in this piece are so gorgeous.

One of my many architectural pieces.

One of the details I find most pretty in antique pieces are the original carved appliques on them. Now-a-days it's so nice that there are so many companies that you can purchase reproduction appliques from.

This is my sitting area in my Bedroom. It is such a relaxing spot to sit in and enjoy reading.

Another thing I love to have surrounding me are flowers. They always make me smile! Here I used one of my Mercury Jars as a vase.

This beautiful antique Mirror is so pretty.

This is one of my favorite finds. It is an antique French Headboard.

A pretty carved Bookend. I always buy things that have some sort of detail to them.

This is a sweet little side table that is in my Bedroom. It has such pretty swag appliques and glass knobs on it.

I bought this last year on my Birthday when we took our kids to Solvang. I just love the footed details on it and had to have it! The candles look so pretty when they are lit up.

This piece is a little more heavily distressed than I would usually have in my home, but I like to mix things up and have all of my pieces slightly different, so that they each stand out.

I also love iron. There is something so romantic about the curves in this piece that are so elegant.

We JUST bought this piece. It was a steal and I couldn't pass it up. It was a cherry wood color which was just not the look we are going for in our Family Room, so my Husband's birthday gift to me was painting it and putting it together. We still need to put on all the doors and I can't wait to accessorise it, so stay tuned for a post when it is completed!!!

A pretty carved wood capital.

I have a few of these antique Federal Cabinets displayed around my home. They are so gorgeous!

More pretty flowers. I like to add pops of color around my home and using flowers is such a great way to achieve that.

These (I have a pair) are incredible. They are hand-painted, carved Italian Side Tables. They are so amamzing!

I also have such a soft spot for Cane Chairs. I have quite a few of them all around the house. They are so beautiful!

This China Cabinet is in my Kitchen. What makes it even prettier than just the carved details and curved legs, is the chicken wire on the side panels. I LOVE it!!!

To me, wicker is so charming and whimsical and adds a comfort and coziness to all of the antique pieces that I have. It adds the perfect balance between the two.

My Husband built this amazing surround last summer and every time I go in to the Kitchen I am still amazed! We also balanced out the elegance of our Kitchen by adding Beadboard as our backsplash to add some charm and warmth to it . You can click on the link at the bottom of this post to see the entire room.

This is part of my Daughter's Bedroom. Her room is 16' x 26' so it is her Bedroom/Playroom. This side of it is so cute. We made it her Kitchen and Dining area. She has so much fun "cooking" and having tea parties with her friends.

Her sweet vintage Desk and petite chair. We re-upholstered the chair with a creme fabric and added the pretty skirted detail to it.

This is the most petite Cane Chair I have ever come across and it fits in her room perfectly.

Another one of my favorite things are vintage Shutters. I came across about 20 pairs of these at an architectural salvage store. We put one of the pairs on our Daughter's Playhouse.

Diamond Pane Windows add such character to a home. We have a pair on each side of our front door. They remind me of an old Cottage.

These iron Nesting Tables have a great color to them. I do love white, but I like to have contrast as well. It's these subtle color differences that make small things stand out in a room.

I like to add interest to everyday items. I took this simple silver tray and added a small bud vase with a crisp white Rose and placed a glass Cloche over it. It makes a pretty focal point on this side table.

I also love architecture. My home's architectural style is an English Tudor. It reminds me of an old house in the country.

I have quite the collection of vintage silver Jewelry Boxes. These are just a few from my collection.

There's something so serene about the sound of water. It really is so soothing. This fountain is right outside my office.

This is the outside of my Office. It's so charming! The greenery growing on top, slightly covering the diamond pane window is so pretty.

This is another view of my Bedroom.

I have an assortment of Demilune Tables around my Home and this is one of a pair that I purchased last weekend. I still need to find the perfect spot for them!

These are just a few of the pictures I have on my Inspiration Board in my Studio. To see my complete renovation of this room, click on the link at the end of this post.

I think Sconces are such a pretty and simple detail to add to any room and they add such an elegance...

This is the view of my Living Room/Foyer looking in from my Family Room. For those of you who are new visitors to my Blog, we spent three months gutting our home...
